Iphone 11production starts in india. Foxconn has assembled iPhone 11 units in India at its Chennai plant, according to an Indian Express report. Foxconn currently assembles iPhone 12 and iPhone 10 units at its Chennai plant. The news was confirmed by numerous local outlets and marks Foxconn's second major manufacturing facility for the iPhone 11, which is being built in India after the iPhone XR last year, and the first in the country. Some of Apple's new iPhone models, such as the iPhone XR, are already available in local retail stores. In the past, Cupertino has also produced various iPhone models in India with Wistron and the iPad Air 2 in the US with Foxconn. The move also exempts Apple from the high cost of making phones in India, allowing it to achieve more competitive prices for its models. In addition, Apple is expected to expand its lead in the premium smartphone market, where the iPhone 11 is well received by local consumers.
